Jennifer Meyer says late-life pregnancy is a 'whole new world' at 49

says being pregnant later in life has been “a whole new world,” and she says the experience has left her feeling amazed, grateful and more willing to accept help than she was when she was younger. The 49-year-old spoke in an interview published Thursday, May 7, describing this pregnancy as “a little more exhausting at this stage” while adding that she feels “really good.”

Meyer announced in December 2025 on that she was expecting baby No. 3, her first with fiancé . In the post, she wrote, “Hey baby girl 🥰 We love love love you!!” and later said, “To get to be able to do it again at this point in my life with this person that I love so much, it was really cool.”

The new baby will join , 19, and , 16, whom Meyer shares with ex-husband . She said her younger years as a mother were very different, recalling that she was “so full-time” with her first two children, breastfed “24/7” and never had a night nurse or anyone helping through the nights.

That is what makes this pregnancy feel different now. Meyer said she was cautious when she told Ogunlesi because “I’m not 25,” and she said the children were excited when they learned they would be older siblings. “They were really cute about it and they’re really excited about it,” she said.

Meyer’s comments suggest this pregnancy is not just another family milestone but a reset in how she is approaching motherhood. Instead of trying to do everything herself, she said she is prepared to ask for help and not carry every part of the experience alone. “It’s OK to ask for help,” she said, adding that she feels like she is living “a fairytale experience” right now.
