Phoebe Bridgers set for first solo show in three years in Roswell

By Megan Foster May 8, 2026

is set to play her first solo show in three years on Friday, May 8, at the in Roswell, New Mexico. The 400-capacity club has not yet posted the date on its site, and Bridgers has not listed it on her own page either.

The news was first spotted by social media users through a printed flyer, according to , adding an unusual layer of anticipation to a show that has surfaced before either venue or artist has formally promoted it. For fans, the timing matters because it marks a return to solo performance after a long pause that has lasted since her most recent solo album, Punisher, came out in 2020.

Bridgers had continued playing shows around the spring of 2023 with boygenius, the supergroup she formed with and , and her last solo performances that spring came at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium while she was opening for Taylor Swift's . boygenius later appeared on Saturday Night Live in November 2023, then played a pair of acoustic shows at in Los Angeles the following February and announced its hiatus.

Bridgers has been more or less off the radar since then, and she said in January 2023 that if she were going on a solo-album campaign right now, she would not do it because she would need a break. That makes Friday's show more than a date on a calendar: it is the first concrete sign that she is stepping back into a solo space, even if the build-up has been deliberately quiet.

The unanswered question is not whether Bridgers can fill the room. It is whether this low-key return is a one-off appearance or the first public move in a longer solo restart.
