Mortgage Officer Denise Peach wins top honor from Massachusetts mortgage group

By David Coleman May 7, 2026

, a mortgage officer with , was named Loan Officer of the Year by the on May 05, 2026. The award was presented at the association’s annual .

Total Mortgage Services said the recognition reflects what Peach has brought to clients and to the industry every day. “She doesn’t just close loans, she opens doors for families who thought homeownership was out of reach,” the company said in announcing the honor.

Peach has held the title of No. 1 Loan Originator in Massachusetts for six consecutive years, a run that helps explain why the award landed now. The Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association, founded in 1976, is the largest mortgage industry association in New England and represents over 225 corporate members.

Her path to the award started long before this week. Peach began 28 years ago as a property manager while also working as a personal trainer, then opened her Leominster branch eight years ago. Since then, she has built deep expertise in MassHousing loan programs in Massachusetts designed to reduce barriers for first-time buyers.

The work matters most in a market where upfront costs can keep buyers on the sidelines. Peach pointed to MassHousing’s Down Payment Assistance program, which provides up to $30,000 in support across every city and town in the state and can be layered with other programs to help buyers reduce upfront costs and compete more effectively.

Client feedback in the announcement underscored the pace and service behind her business. One client said the team was knowledgeable, patient and always available, adding that the process was clear, efficient and handled on time. Another called Peach amazing, said she answered every call and guided the process, and described the experience as outstanding.

The award gives formal recognition to a lender whose work has centered on first-time and underserved buyers, not just volume. With MassHousing programs under pressure to keep homeownership within reach, Peach’s profile now sits at the intersection of experience, local reach and a product set aimed at lowering the first hurdle into a home.
